Food Safety

FOOD SAFETY PROGRAM

QVHD is responsible to reduce the risk of foodborne disease by ensuring reasonable protection from contaminated food and improving the sanitary condition of food establishments (restaurants, caterers, food stores, etc.), including temporary food events.  This is accomplished by the inspection of food service establishments, enforcement of regulations, education, special investigations, and food safety promotion.
